Netflix To Get Dharmatic! Karan Johar Collaborates With The Digital Platform To Create Original Feature Films And Series
Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to see some new fresh content on Netflix now, thanks to Dharmatic Entertainment as Karan Johar and Netflix have announced their long-term partnership
Netflix is about to get Dharmatic, all credit goes to Karan Johar. Well, just a few mins back, the filmmaker announced his collaboration and his partnership with Netflix. Karan and the OTT platform announced Dharmatic Entertainment where they will create original feature films and series (fiction and non-fiction) exclusively for Netflix members. Now, that's interesting, right? Johar first collaborated with Netflix with Lust Stories in 2018. The filmmaker is also directing Ghost Stories and producing Kirara Advani's Guilty on Netflix. Knowing his long-term partnership with them, we are sure, Dharmatic Entertainment will be as exciting as it was before.
Confirming on the same, Karan announced this partnership on his Instagram handle by sharing a video, captioning, "@Netflix_IN is about to get #Dharmatic! So excited about our exclusive collaboration with NETFLIX! We are creatively aligned to produce original feature films and series (fiction and nonfiction) on this diverse platform.... may the power of supreme content always be with us! @apoorva1972 @somenmishra @aneeshabaig @dharmaticent @netflix_in @dharmamovies."
"What we have decided to do is basically come together to create content to empower not only ourselves, but also the consumer, and to make sure that we can create diverse content across genres, and engage not just an Indian or diaspora audience but an Asian audience," Johar told PTI in an interview.
While there's still time to see the epicness onscreen, KJo is set to don the director's hat with Takht starring Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Later, he will be producing Good News, Dostana 2 and Bhoot Part 1: The Haunting Ship.
